This privacy policy explains how Media Partnership Ltd, trading as Video Network (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects and uses your personal data when you use our website and services. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law.
Who we are
Media Partnership Ltd (T/A Video Network), Northern Design Centre, Gateshead, NE8 3DF, United Kingdom. Registered in England & Wales, company number 05594791. You can contact us about privacy via our contact form.
The data we collect
- Account details — such as your name, email address and password when you register.
- Listing information — for videographers, the details, images, videos, location and other content you add to your profile.
- Messages — the content of enquiries and messages you send through the Platform.
- Usage data — information about how you use the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How and why we use it
We use your data to create and manage your account, display listings, enable messaging between clients and videographers, keep the Platform safe and free from spam, respond to your enquiries, and improve and promote our services. We rely on the following lawful bases: performance of a contract, our legitimate interests (to run, secure and improve the Platform), your consent (for example, for certain cookies or marketing), and legal obligation where applicable.
Sharing your data
We share the information in a videographer’s public listing with other users of the Platform — that is the purpose of a directory. When you send a message, its content is shared with the recipient. We also use trusted third-party providers to run the service, including our hosting provider, mapping and location services, and email delivery providers. We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how it is used. See our Cookies Policy for details.
Keeping your data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it for the purposes described here or to meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
International transfers
As a global platform, some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we take steps to ensure your data is protected in line with UK data protection law.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
